A Conversation for Fugazi - The Band

Hello,
Nice article. I think it should make it into the edited guide, since it's informative and interesting to boot. I just have a few suggestions and comments:
1. You might want to expand a bit more on what Hardcore Punk sounds like in that first paragraph, since I imagine there might be a fair number of unfamiliar readers.
2. I'd probably rename "Career" to "Discography", because that's what I'm used to it being called myself. I don't know how common that is though. Oh wait, it includes performances as well, so never mind.
3. I'm glad you emphasize that it's possible to be political and also have a sense of humor. I remember the Minor Threat song with the chorus "We don't care/we don't know/we'll steal your money/we'll steal your show" which joked about expensive performances, etc.
4. I should mention something about Fort Reno. It's a free concert series in Washington DC in a park (which used to be the site of a Civil War fort, hence the name). A lot of Hardcore and other bands used to play there, and Fugazi still does a show there every summer I think for free, just for old times' sake.
Otherwise, nice article. Let's see what other people think.
Yours,
Jake

Thank you.
1) I agree and will make the change.
2) I spent some time discussing this myself. I'll wait and see how other people think I should phrase it I think
4)I make a reference to it but I shall go into more detail if you think it would add something to the article.
Thanks for your time.

Hello,
No. You don't have to expand it, I'm just not sure if it counts as a charitable cause (although I suppose it might, since they may help to raise money to stage it every year).
Yours,
Jake

I've worded it as political cause now, although thats probably not really better. Although it does have a political element as I believe DC dropped funding for it a few years ago.

do you mean group house, or group home. outside the usa, i've found that group house seems to refer to a bunch of people living together in a house to make the rent cheaper, wheras of the people i've found who have ever heard of a group home, they think of it as connected to the american care system for teenagers.

They always word it as Group House and they mean it as people living in a house together for rent purposes. I'll put a note in to clarify if neccesary.
