on the subject of english people not bothering to learn another language, that's just selfish...even if english is the most "european" language it doesn't maen the other languages are less important. i like the diversity of europe, actually, and studying other languages...

it would be a whole lot easier for english people to learna foreign language if we had decent teachers......i've had two decent ones out of um........9. and one of the bad ones was for three years!
