Due to such annoyances as nuclear weapons, and the fact that although money can't buy you love, it can buy ammo, another major international conflict is impossible as long as no one is feeling suicidal. anyone who launches a nuke will immediatly be destroyed and presto, no conflict.
sucks, don't it?
the next major conflict will probably be interstellar
but don't quote me on that

Well, look on teh bright side, an interplanetary war will at least bring teh whole planet together (if I believe my TV)
