TV remote - saves getting off your butt, but why do we need a graph on the screen? is that so deaf people can adjust the volume? And why the little red light to tell you when you turn it off - surely no picture and no sound is quite a good indicator?
Video remote - why? If you put the video by telly, you put a tape in, go back to your chair and press play on the remote.
If you get a longer bit of wire you can put the video by your chair, then you can even change the tape without getting off your butt, and you don't need a remote.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
