Hi, Should have kept a copy, but I didn't really expect this. I haven't received my email yellow card, so I reckon you haven't kept to your own rules. I, therefore, register my formal complaint, seek restitution and demand a recount. The stuff to which I referred, tongue in cheek, has been left in: the schedule details. The stuff removed was my recollection of the previous series, including my (so far as I know) coining of the word "ambi-gauche" of which I am inordinately proud. You have robbed me of considerable kudos, and lowered me in the eyes of my betters in the British English - Sequel forum. I am distressed beyond consolation. Just out of idol (yes, I mean that) curiosity, has the moderation team ever seen the inside of a DNA book. This is hardly the time to mention post interment gyration, but I cannot help it. I marvel that this time the bath water has been retained whilst the baby ... Post: 1214 Attention all UK readers with TV licences! At great personal risk of being moderated I am about to publicise a BBC programme and quote from the Radio Times. Another spinoff (as was h2g2) from the wonderful Radio 4. "People like us" (like = resemble, not admire) 10.20pm. BBC2 Sunday 20th May. [Copyright material removed by moderator] "

Hello plaguesville
I can't see the material that was removed, if it is cut out it is gone forever I'm afraid. Therefore it's impossible for me to check whether the material now. You do say however, that the material was copyright the Radio Times, which probably gave the moderator a bit of a big hint that it was indeed copyright material...
Researchers are only informed if their entire post has been failed, we don't inform people if we star out swearwords, or remove copyright material or URL's.
Hope this helps to explain things...

Erm, well, actually, how can I put this? No it doesn't.
Thank you for your prompt response, which, sadly but predictably, is no help. My guess is that you are left handed.

The only part of my posting which could have been considered copyright was the date and timing of the programme, which was lifted from the TV promos and the Radio Times. Ironically, the breach of the advertising policy seems to be acceptable but a personal, subjective appreciation of a previous series is not.
I don't suppose anyone checked to see whether any copyright had been infringed apart from the previously laboured scheduling. Why not suspend and email for clarification?
(Not cost effective!)
Daft, I call it; and in this case wrong and unjustifiable.
No acceptance that, possibly, "someone had blundered"
What is a "swearword"?
I appreciate that you and your moderator are "only following orders" but in a "blind leading the blind" unquestioning manner. See you at Nuremburg.
