Do the researchers agree with me that it is not shameful to misunderstand a simple question when that simple question lacks poetic beauty? Would I be right in saying that complex but poetic questions posed in exquisite English are far easier to grasp than badly written, largely flippent simple questions? And wouldn't you agree they (such as Pierce's last post) give far greater food for thought?
