Now that Oz are out of the World Cup, after losing to England *sigh*, I'll have to put up with the women in my house shouting and screaming for Wilkinson et al.
pfft.
Never liked the game anyway

I was thinking of you today when me and were dancing round the living-room.
(the ladies in _this_ house prefer to look at France. Coming up very soon )

If I end up supporting the long-haired frogmunchers I'll be VERY upset.

ho yus
it's a shame we're not going to be seeing more of them.
(vaguely disappointed over here that there wasn't any shirt swapping)

Gawdenbennit. I thought rugby was a scared sport where tow teams battled it out honourably on the pitch. Now I understand it's just for pervy women to get their rocks off.

Now now Matt, there's no need to be like that. It's both.

'where tow teams battled it out honourably on the pitch'
Rugby? Come on, it's a sport where two teams of freakish giants kick and thump and batter each other until one team looses.
Think there was a game today, so I guess there must have been some form of loser. Escapes me right now who it was, but I'm sure they tried jolly hard.

Anyway, I'm off to watch the haka. Maybe the Kiwis are the real men in the southern hemisphere?

I would post some links to the French rugby calender...
but I'm keeping them to the -thread
and keeping my head down - this thread looks dangerous

I'm gutted
As if to add insult to injury I'm going to be in Britain the weekend of the final The smugness will be overwhelming, even if England don't make it that far.
Now if Scotland manage to pull a rabbit out of the bag, all will be fine. But let's face it....
I don't support the Springboks usually, but I feel that it might justified in this case - assuming they don't succumb to Fiji, which would be just fantastic

well, I wouldn't be so smug (admiring the Aussie rugby skills as I do) if they hadn't spent all week saying how rubbish England were. They now have some egg on their visages and I don't feel for them in the way I feel for the All-blacks.
I have high hopes that Scotland will win - but I think that's going to be another "upset"

Now I'm suporting France. It's nice to see NZ losing now and then.
I've been keeping my head down in this thread bearing in mind Ireland's performances.
Me:"Of course Ireland lost on purpose for the cause."
Mate:"The cause? What cause?!"
Me:" 'cause they're shite!"
