h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

This is mainly addressed to the maintainers of this service ... but also to attract any comments :

As users we all have our plcae to write some details about us ... however many dont bother to do so ... I think it would be nicer if there was on top of it all a pre-structured optional profile info box for each user - just like ICQ and the Yahoo games one - that is to put name/location/email/webpage etc.

What you people think ?

Hi! This is my first function as a Guide contributor. Exciting init? I agree that people should be encouraged to contribute a profile (Notwithstanding that I don't presently even have a name; I just noticed). But, on the other hand it would be a shame if the Guide was to resemble an income tax form.

These things are planned. In fact, they were planned, but we ran out of time. So we'll do them soon

I love forms ...like the ones that ask for a uk post code and a street ...
I live in a compound and get my mail from a PO box
I filled in a form recently that some nice coder had written
but it would not send cos my home and work telephones had different codes
+44 and +966
still we do need forms ...lets regulate everyone and categorise them neatly
have I ranted enough yet ?
