Ok, Ok, I get the hint
When the Sub eds send back their batches, they are allocated to their appropriate pile. Accept, Reject, Maybe.
When they get to either Sam or I, we read through them, tweak the GuideML, add a little more info and generally clear up any uncertainties. When this is done, we then read each others entries and then allocate them to a day and if we really like them, we'll ask for a graphic.
If an entry is recommended for rejection, we read it first. If we agree we send out a reject slip. If we disagree, for example there may be an entry that we know a lot about etc, we will salvage it from the pile and either a)contact the Researcher and ask them to do a little more research or b) we do research of our own - Today's example of Cocktails Named for the Stars is a good example. DD supplied the core and I fleshed it out a little.
If an entry is put in the Maybe pile, we read it and then reject it or accept it.
When we have read your entries, we allocate them up to a month in advance.
Hope that helps.

Hey there...I don't know how in the world this is supposed to work, but I thought I'd toss my two cents in. I can't believe that this place exists (h2g2) and I didn't know about it before today!!! Whoopeee!

THanks for the welcome, folks. Okay...I've been poking around this site for a while now, and have to say I was a bit frustrated trying to find the replies to my post that were being shown in my home page...until I kept right on clicking that "newest entries" button. Heheh...guess I gotta work on that common sense thing everyone keeps talking about...
Peace

Yorkshire Matt Posted Jul 13, 2000
Hiya folks,
Didn't want Kenito to be the only one getting welcomes so thought I'd introduce myself around a little. Yorkshire Matt's the name, Beer's the game. Just joined up and getting my feet, so please be gentle at least for the next 5 minutes.
Cheers,
YM

It does that from time to time just to be irritating. Usually when it seems important, I think the server has an important post duplication routine
