Well, nothing is unimportant when it comes to subject matter. Sliced Bread, where you live, aphrodisiacs are amongst the various articles which are getting written every day, (before someone else says it, quite a lot of them by me).
Yeah a few of us around here are veterans just waiting to say hello and make fell welcomed and loved, and to serve the tea, whiskey and biccies when Abi is no longer in her office at the Towers.

Oh! Oh! Oh! Will our skin never be free from the ravages of time?!? Spots in youth and wrinkles with age! What to do? What to do?

Joanna thanks. Do you really think newcomers need this kind of exposure to me this early in their h2g2 existance.

So how long does it usually take for them to either give entries the stamp of approval or chuck them in the bin, laughing?

Eeeee, you young whippersnappers.... why, when I was your age... etc.
Jamie, the approval process tends to take a couple of months, just long enough for you to believe that everyone has forgotten about your article.

If you write enough though on a regualr basis once the two months are up you hardly notice the time it takes as they pop up regularly on the front page for all the world to see.

Well good morning all! Seems like I went home as all the fun started
Any way I think one of the other Italics is going to drop in at some point to explain their job - but in the mean time I refute the term wrinkly! I spend a fortune on skin care products and at the moment (touching wood) it seems to be workng!

Abi Posted Jul 11, 2000
Welcome Dubspeed! But surely if you want to learn all about sheep you should go to Wales!

Abi's not wrinkley.. we have a picture of her too *evil grin* [Broken link removed by Moderator](slightly dark sorry... she's the one on the right... Peregrin, one of the subeditors is on the left)
...While I'm not an italic I'm an ACE, which stands for assistant community editor. I guess there are a bit over 50 aces, and our primary job is to be the official welcoming committee on h2g2... we look out for new people and try to make them feel welcome, & answer any questions presented to us... we also try to direct people around the site to a certain extent, like for example if you have the word "evil" in your nickname I'd probably direct you toward STUMPED, the centre for h2g2's villains... if you say you like history there's the h2g2 historical society... if you have an idea about how to make the site better your local friendly ace will try to tell TPTWVH , the powers that (really do) work very hard to make the site a success... basically if we can help we do, if we can't we find someone who can.
I think.
