I have registered a mere 10 minutes ago and have not yet fully explored so if anyone can point me in the direction of any particluarly interesting tidbits that would be welcome. I know the nickname is rather boring to say the least but years of addiction to IRC made me rather sick of nicknames and postering (no offence to anyone that still uses one
Thanks

I haven't been here long either, but I like what I've seen so far. I haven't a clue how to get involved in things either, so I am also looking for advice on where to go.
Thanks, Lusk

OK hu guys Lusk if you want to get involved with lots of people early on check out the busiest forums from the front page, this is usually were most of the general chat etc goes on, as these tend to be community pages were all the regulars tend to flock to.
Also check out the World of h2g2 http://www.h2g2.com/A303030 which links to some of the great articles and iseas over the last wekks and months.
Or visit the ACES (That's Assistant Community Editors) homepage http://www.h2g2.com/A214796 where there are some great links. Also check out some of the ACEs own homepages as these usually have good links on them as well.
Basically feel free to explore at your leisure and I'm sure you'll make new friends with no bother.

Thanks for the tips Demon Drawer (or do you prefer DD?). I'll try them out.
I've already started moving a little further afield since I posted here, St. Justin pointed me to the new users forum and told me to butt in, but it was getting late when I did so I didn't get much response last night. I also spotted the h2g2 Historical Society from that World of h2g2 page(That is the one linked off the main h2g2 page isn't it?). I didn't think of following homepages though. I'll see if there are any interesting names to look at.
Thanks again, Lusk

Thanks for the responses to my original email. I am now shifting through the reams of information out there. Will try out some of those places. Talk to you again Lusk and Demon Drawer.
