We've got this handy friends list on our personal spaces. But some of the "friends" aren't friends at all. Some of the subscribers to my page are people I don't think I've ever spoken to. Some are old sock puppets or otherwise inactive accounts. And at least one of my subscribers has a history of open hostility towards me.
Since it's supposed to be a list of friends, shouldn't there be some mechanism to approve or disapprove requests to be added to such a list?

"The issue with unwanted friends on your list has been raised before.
If you want any of them removed (with reason) you will have to contact the Italics at h2g2.support AT bbc.co.uk thus keeping any 'unfriendly' requests off site "
