As I have mentioned elsewhere, only complete idiots would sign up for h2g2 without understanding how the copyright functions on site, and agreeing to it. MK's big spammy forum posts mention that there are other communities with different copyrights that are, to him, more favourable. So why doesn't he go there and leave us to eat our s in peace? Joining anything with policies you disagree with is not a good thing.

And there is room for feedback in the current policy. From my perspective, anyway.

If anyone has any new questions we're happy to respond, but please read these conversations first, so that you gain a full understanding of h2g2's current site policy. We think that our terms and conditions are reasonable and fair, considering that h2g2 is a non-subscription website, and suggest that If anyone is uncomfortable agreeing with our site policy, that they don't post material at h2g2, and don't participate in the community.

Matthew, the rules and regulations are there to protect 60,000+ happy researchers and the staff from the narrow minded individuals such as yourself. if you are not happy with the rules and regulations, then kindly leave and email [email protected] immediately. This needs someone to test whether it is working properly, and it seems that you've turned yourself into a prime candidate.

It doesn't seem that you have rallied much support, which isn't surprising (and before you even contemplate asking I WON'T be adding my name). Just what is it you're trying to achieve Matthew? Why are you bent on making yourself a martyr for your futile cause and undermining a system that works for everyone except yourself? Have you actually read the rules and regulations properly? Go and have a good read, and if there's anything you're unsure, consult h2g2's legal department and they'll explain it to you in a way that hopefully you will comprehend.

I agree. MK - either enjoy the happy idiocy of the rest of us or GO AWAY!!! I, for one am delighted when some drivel or other that I've written is accepted. I don't think I write anything earth shattering, and usually anything I say is complete babble on my part. If its acceptable - I'm happy. As for the copywrite, if I were writing the Great Canadian Novel, I wouldn't write it here. I'm here to have my say, and have some fun. When RL becomes too much I can escape here and have a good time, and forget the rest of my life for awhile.
