A Conversation for The Controversy Surrounding the Origins of the Taj Mahal
taj mahal - the real story

i suggest you leave this whole thing alone and just let the taj mahal
be... the more you mess with it the more it stands a chance to getting
spoilt... sometimes... when certain things are just left the way they
are... you know, untouched in their beauty... they tend to be at their
most beautiful... but the more you touch and pry into them... they'd be
altered and not EXACTLY the same that they were when they first were.
you suppose that reknowned archaeologists and other so-so people would
be extremely careful and work under the most careful supervision so the
utmost care is taken in supporting someones story and research or
whatever... so that people know whats true about the whole thing, then
again they HAVE changed it in some way havent they?
from brushing dust aside and taking samples and everything.... they
might restore it to it's supposed "original beauty" but once you take
something away and then put it back... you really think thats
original ?
all i know of what's true is that a building has stood for a long long
time and everyone who looks at it can only admire it's beauty ... they
can only wonder how it was built... pure fascination .....
sometimes you should just let certain things be....

The only harm that a dedicated research could do is damage to the Taj.
Otherwise, who wouldnt like to know the real story?
Taling about beauty, what a privilege it would be to see the Taj in its full splendour...all the 7 stories(if there are actually more rooms as stated in the alternative theory). If it looks good now,it would be timeless "standing miracle" then.
Also, its not only about desecration of Hindu worship place and bad things done by the Moghuls...its a reiteration of the trite "History is what the winner writes".
Without hurting any community's sentiments,we should realise that whats done cant be undone. Saying that muslims desecrated Hindu temple would be of no help now. Those who did this(if this actually happened),are long gone. The only thing possible now is to restore Taj to its full splendour, only opening the sealed gateways and avoiding things like tying to build a temple all over again.
We do not want another Babri Masjid.

Suppose you have father and after 20 years or so you got to know that the person with whom you are staying is not real father. Then please tell me what you are going to do.
I know you will start asking to your mom saying that who is my real father.
I think you have got what I want to say. It is time to find which things belongs to us and which is not.

If it is the real story then it's really disgraceful that what we have been taught through our text-books was not the TRUTH. The contents like "who built the taj mahal? etc..", should come in text-books only after proper verification or else there's no need to put these in books.
I think, There must be some government initiative to find out the truth, meanwhile all questionable contents should be removed from text-books so that we needn't to tell lies to our children.
Surely nobody wants or wishes another 'babari-musjid' or any harm to our age-old pride Taj, but everybody wishes for the TRUTH.

What are you saying my friend?
Credit should always go the person who deserve it.
There are instances in history when noble prize was awarded when the person was no more available to receive it.Even though we know that he is no longer here to realise this, we do it.Are we fools then?
Credit should always go the right person."Better late than never".
Here the credit is given to some king who might have forcefully changed it the way he wanted. This is much more worse then not giving the credit to the proper person/organization who built this monument.
So I would feel from my soul that proper investigation has to be done and the results made public.

Nobody is planning to change the building or its beauty!
It has already been altered by Shahjahan!!
So you prefer to cling to the beautifully told a fake fairy tale,
rather than wake up to the truth?
The Taj will remain the Taj (Tejomahal).
No body will make it a red fort!

That person could become more great ful to his foster father and know his own roots.
You worry less when you know nothing!
The bigger the head, the bigger the headache!
Knowing your own roots is what we should do, becuase it is where we come from.
There is history, there is heritage, culture and the pride in it keeps it alive.
We are not talking about alteratino but knowing facts! Yes opening the sealed
rooms would bring a lot to light!

Rajesh - you said the right thing!
Authorities can't just sleep over this thing!
Shahjahan did the wrong thing and generations of
people are holding on to his wrong version!
That's a crime too!

its simple -
let as many people, Hindu or not, know about it......
the FACT that a film is being made about the FALSE version of the TAJ MAHALS history goes to show that this is an attempt to cover up history and re-write the minds of hindus.....
http://www.stephen-knapp.com/was_the_taj_mahal_a_vedic_temple.htm
the above link also comes with photographic evidence.......
its not just the TAJ MAHAL that has been taken in this way but also the KAABA - where there is a SHIV LING......
http://www.geocities.com/jairama1/kaaba.htm
it would be stupid of the hindus to let this slip from under our feet but at the same time its a sensitive topic.....
we cannot blame the Muslims and the Islam of today cos of the actions of the past.......
