Keep on reading Shaman3d, I personally found The Dragon Reborn slow going the first time I read it - the fourth fifth and sixth are amongst the best in the series in my opinion - especially the end of book six! (you'll see).
My fave book is still The Great Hunt actually but most seem to disagree with me - ho hum.

This is the second time I read the third book. When I went through it the last time I went as far as the fourth, but that was the last one that was available in Sweden at the time. That was so long ago that I thought that the series would have been written by now.

Thanx for your view on the books. I just spent about an hour in the bath (it went to cold to go on) reading the third book and I wont quit until I am done!

Well done on a well thought out article. I liked it. But then I have read and DO own all nine of the currently released books (Not the background ones unfortunately as I can not find them) and I really do think that R J is only fractionally lower in the literature standings than the Great JR smiley - fish

Well Done smiley - cheers

New Spring is excellent - proves Robert Jordan *is* capable of writing a short story.

In fact the whole collection of stories in that compendium are very good. smiley - smiley

A WoT roleplaying site!? smiley - winkeye Sounds great, so what's the adress?

By the way, what is your opinion on WoT as a RPG compared to D&D or similar? Haven't tried it, but I read through the rule-book hastily.

The WoT RPG is D&D, in case you hadn't noticed - based on the D&D 3rd Edition rules. I haven't played it - D&D-style RPing isn't really my thing.

As for the site, it's at http://www.nwtuk.com - bit messy at the moment, I'm currently developing a totally new custom-designed forums system which the site will run off, but real life keeps popping up and distracting me, so I have to keep delaying the launch smiley - sadface

MaW is a PHP god. I have played with an earlier form of the new forums and they rock. smiley - smiley

Oh, no I didn't notice. I found a pdf-version available on the net, so I downloaded that to have a look. Would it be the same RPG? Ah, well anyhow I'm not sure what version of D&D i played, and it was the Swedish one (that apparantly isn't the same) anyway.

Nice site, though!
