2006 was one year of changes. The start was quite awful, toothache and all. At the end of 2005 I got some teeth extracted and it took some time to heal. Also the date was set when I was supposed to move out of my old place and I hadn’t exactly got a new one. And it was really cold, -30C and such..frozen pipes and heating the house with old shoes. That’s all I remember of January.
February was all the same. On Feb 15th I eventually moved to the new place and so my birthday was more or less cancelled. Postponed, but no party ever took place. With moving and all the following I must be really grateful to my ex-b/f (from 20+ years ago), without him I would have been in a real trouble. And the greatest news from February is that I got myself Antonio – a double bed. Up until then I used to sleep on a sofa (or on pile of boxes right before The Move).
March was spent planning the meet-up in Copenhagen and the meet-up itself. (Yes, I do plan sometimes. ) The meet-up took place some time at the end of March. I was in DK earlier, spent couple days in Copenhagen first, then met Hapi there and then we went to visit Pierce. After couple wonderful days there the meet-up itself eventually took place – we spent a nice day at Carlsberg museum: Pierce, Hapi, Tartaronne and Santra. And then I was on my way home again…
And then there was April. More and more dentists but eventually everything got done and I got a new smile. Also I had a brief trip to Latvia. Then I had some problems with my health and altogether it wasn’t much of a month.
May – still not feeling well, nothing much happening.
June – a lot of w*rk. Kinga Freespirit died.
July – travelling. With Mme F we did some hitchhiking in Sweden and Denmark. During the trip we also visited Pierce, Tartaronne and Freedom. It was good fun and nice adventure.
Now August was something completely different as then we had a summerhouse X-mas party. Hapi, Pierce and Rupert were around and Mme F as well, of course.
September was mostly w*rk and digging in the past. And I added #5 to my username.
In October I had a trip to Brussels, met Hapi there.
November was… November. I hardly ever have anyhting good to say about Novembers and this wasn’t any different. Bad news.
And now December. Quite some planning is in the air. London meet, some trip in March. And there surely will be summer eventually. On Christmas Day I burnt my hand. Boring.

One thing you- Hati- don't know about the year 2006. You did me a great favor I Blue bird saying this.
One of a good h2 friend did not find my Web Page I was trying to "promote" and pronto ( before I got to it) you- Hati- answered the questtion to him! But it was an information for me also. I am using it since than with BIG pleasure! Thank you very much!
What was the inf: the URL in a simple way takes you to the page you are looking for. You called my attention to it.
That page was the yoolly.com/HOLIDAY issue, what is gone with the Holidays!
But if you interested: /AFTER_THE_HOLIDAYS.HTML is there.
With great difficulties I found out ( but still not sure) that you live in Estonia? If it is so please let me know.
I live in America, but was not born here. Also I am very bad to find messages, the chances are I loose a lot of it, because I don't know where to pick it up? ( The system is not the best) ( Pardon me!)
If you answer I'll go to Hati 2006, OK? Anyway there is more to say.
But let me know first about Estonia? ( if I may.)
Happy New Year! Blue bird

Blue Bird - Estonia is a cold and wet corner of Europe these days. Even though we seem to have the warmest winter in my lifetime.

Blue Bird Posted Jan 3, 2007
That is OK! I was in the winter time couple of years ago in Hawaii and there was a lady living in Oahu who was an Estonian. She found out that originally I was born in Hungary and she said that we are Sisters!
What do you say to that? Blue bird
P.S. This place here used to be a God-forsaken place on Earth ( Long Island N.Y. USA) but this year is warmer with 10 even 20 F higher than normal!
The polar bear is on endangered list!

Yes, Hungary and Estonia are related linguistically. Not that they could understand each other's languages. Not a bit.
We have winter 6-7C warmer than average.

Thanks for your reply Hati.
The family of languages belongs to the finn-ugor "complex". I did an extensive research on this subject, but a h2g2 scout rejected it: " This is not what we are looking for" he said.
That was my first and last "Entry"--- though after came a bunch of apologies ( actually the scout never read the stuff, because was so "unusual") anyway---it was a good work after a month of research.
I was never very much involved at h2, I contribute a lot to Collective what is a Cultural weekly magazine @BBC.
Now I am occupied with my Web Site concentrating on Environmental issues. In connection to my new adventure I would love to find people who would join in the effort to contribute for a better Life on this Earth.
The Web Site does not give much room to communication, so I will LINK to a Blogger I am making with lot of picures.
Hope to see you there. Greetings from Blue bird

I read your entry about languages. I guess it was to emotional for edited guide. They prefer dry facts. I myself don't really write for edited guide. Too much fuss and my grammar is not that good anyway. So there's always some nagging.
Yet I am not about to move anywhere out of h2g2, I am fine here and I like the place with all it's faults. For me it's not that much about expressing myself than about being with my friends.
Finno-Ugric languages belong to Uralic languages, however Hungarian belongs to the Ugric branch and Estonian to the Finno-Permic branch.

Thanks Hati for letting me know about reading my entry! It is strange, because it was few years ago when I did that. I also removed it. Wonder if it is the same?
The only part was not quite " Factual" that I started to tell how and why did I came to this subject. ( Irish friends gave me the initiative.)
To comment on this subject: the only thing is sure, that there is so far no definite answer about the origin of this strange language complex. As for many other historical subjects we have only guessings. Well than the factual approch is also shaky, because one does not have to believe what is presented as a matter of fact! I have doubts about many things.
About factual Entries my opinion is that in the presense of very well equipped search engines and with Wikipedia available to the whole world h2g2 Edited Entries have not much values. Sorry! Certainly is more interesting to read conversations, or THE POST, and many Underground stuff and The Personal Journals. Those are my favored, if I have time to get around.
With the Editors of h2 I never developed any contact. But it is very nice from BBC to give room for this kind of a group activity, certainly is useful and enjoyable.
May be I'll "bud" in into an other converstion, to find Hati's 2006 is not so easy. Hope to keep in touch. Perhaps you can start a new conversation coming to my message centre. Have a nice day! Blue bird
