I can't for the life of me understand why some cafés serve some of their flaming hot coffee-concoctions in tall glasses. Both the cup and the mug have been invented a long time ago, fools. And so has their handles. So why should I burn my precious and sensitive fingertips on a glass?

If they don't seem to care much about you, chances are they haven't got much respect for customers in general. That, or some style leader says to do it that way, and hundreds of thousands of affluent twits will obediently follow suit. They can't be argued with, because they would need working brains in order to think about it.

They were unstable, and pretty useless if they got wet. I disliked them the same way I dislike the cheap paper cones that come with some water coolers.
