Mrs G was in to see him today and he was in a good mood, which is certainly an improvement. But he needs a lot of improvement before he will be well enough to leave hospital.

They've been keeping Ben going using a dialysis machine and constant drugs. But he was in constant pain and not improving at all. So today he asked for them to turn off all the machines and stop giving him the drugs. He won't last much longer.

Gnomon I am so sorry. Having lost my own mother at the start of May, I can totally sympathise.
