Titania (gone for lunch)

So is your daughter a Korall or a Korint, Milla? I'm so happy she keeps it up, because she's so talented.

Just watched the first song so far, didn't expect it to be a full concert, will catch up with it later.

It is the full concert, so more than an hour.

Magwitch - My name is Mags and I am funky.

I was listening to it yesterday, Milla. Lovely.

I was rather worried about the girl with the candles on her head, but I see she goes off after about 20 mins.

That girl with a crown of candles is my own Peewee!

She did get a few breaks, when the different choirs took turns, but she's also on stage a few times without the crown...
It's not uncommon that the girls faint, usually when they hold their hand candle too close to their face, and stand still too long. But with training (tread softly to get circulation in legs, breathe well) you can often deal with it. And switching places also helps.

Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~

Some of my colleagues celebrated Lucia. The one acting as the Lucia bride was Erik who is only one month younger than me. He looked so lovely. Good thing he had had a shave the very same morning smiley - biggrin

But of course I very much prefer Peewee smiley - smiley

Spoof Lucia celebrations can be so much fun smiley - biggrin

Lately, children have asked that boys can be Lucia in non-spoof celebrations, and in some cases wanted to be gingerbread men (which together with Tomtenissar are common in children's Lucia trains) but where adults have proven very conservative and narrowminded. So the boy Lucia was not allowed - it's not Tradition! And even some child wasn't allowed to be Gingerbread man - it might offend someone with coloured skin!!! And it's not Tradition in the trains for older children!
smiley - sigh
Traditional celebrations have their place, but so do non-traditional ones - because that's how new traditions form! And spoofs are good to remind us that traditions are sometimes very silly too smiley - biggrin
