Wow, you're well prepared. I can only print my ticket one day in advance. I usually pack the morning before i leave.

My plane is supposed to land at 11:40 am local time.

Just so I remember.

I'm arriving at 5.55 pm on Friday, care to wait for me? Am trying to only bring hand baggage *sits on suitcase* because I hate waiting.

But if you're only bringing hand baggage too, I think you should procede to the hotel, and I'll see you there.

The secret to getting hand baggage classified as such is to put the lightest objects in your suitcase, and the heaviest in your flat looking and discreet backpack - or divide the weight evenly between the two. I think most companies allow one 'handbag' and one piece of 'hand baggage'.

Well, it's looking as if I'll make it, and since I'll have to wait for Milla at the hotel, I'd prefer she came up as soon as possible.

Oh, and aren't you staying at the Ibis? We're at the Premier Inn, so different routes.

Milla, I confused your departure with your arrival time.

I guess if I can't get a second key, and should I want to leave before you arrive, I can always leave the key at reception. I'll text you the room number once I know it.

I'm flying with the *only company who flys directly to Manchester from Stockholm; SAS. Yes, it *is odd there should be only one choice. There were two other options with stopover in either Germany or France, but that would take more than twice the time. Will check the station name tomorrow morning .

Oxford Rd is the closest railway station to Ibis on Charles St, but not all trains stop there, so my other alternative is Piccadilly.

Lanza wrote an entry on how to optimise your luggage when flying. Not that any of you seasoned travellers need advice.

Seems there are really loads of people going to Manchester. I should have looked into it earlier - especially as it's Fashing weekend and work is slack, so a day off wouldn't matter much.
