I've long been impressed at O'Briain's sciency jokes - particularly when he got Gillian McKeith put in Room 101. What he does brilliantly is the way he puts things over; I forget which show it was but he got a laugh out of Pascal's wager.

Paul - That's a bit like asking if somebody called Smythe is related to Dick King Smith. The surnames come from the same root, but it's such a widespread Irish name.
Johnny Ball used to present kids' science programmes, involving little experiments with household objects and manically writing mathematics on a blackboard. His daughter is Zoe Ball.
