A Conversation for Waffle House Restaurants
Waffle House Addendum

Having lived in the southeast US for a time, I've also experienced the glory that is the Waffle House. It's quite the "greasy spoon" as they say, and as long as that's what you're expecting, you'll enjoy it immensely. If on a road trip in the SE US, you simply must stop at any one of them, and that's much easier done than said - since they are among the more prolific establishments in the region. Some claim that, in the greater Atlanta area, it is not quite impossible but wholly improbable that one could swing a cat without slamming it into a Waffle House restaurant. Others theorize that the redundant appearance of Waffle Houses can be credited to an elaborate and sophisticated network of precisely-placed mirrors. Still others think that they just built a whole bunch of 'em so the locals don't have to crawl very far from whatever drinking establishment they've vacated. In any event, you shouldn't have a problem finding one, and if you do, you'll most likely dig the food. Not to mention the ubiquitous Waffle House Jukebox, on every one of which you can find, among many country-like songs, the official Waffle House theme song. Bring lots of quarters.
As a sidenote: if you are in fact in the Atlanta area, you would be even more impressed with a visit to the Landmark Diner on Roswell road, just north of Buckhead. Yes, I said 'Buckhead.'
