cross tortoises - july 2007
Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~ Posted Jul 20, 2007
there are quite a few reasons to celebrate today, july 20th:
in 1820 danish physicist h.c.ørsted told the world about electromagnetism
in 1944 the us marines recaptured guam
in 1969 armstrong, aldrin and collins landed on the (and colosseum finished the sleeve notes for their album "valentyne suite")
in 1990 roger waters and a vast crowd of the finest musicians on performed "the wall" at the remains of the wall in berlin
in 1996 bjarne riis won the tour de france
also: it's the birthday of papa hemingway, isaac stern and jussuf islam (formerly known as stevens)
i don't know about you guys, but i'll drink to the lot of it

...why are you all laughing?!
why are my feet wet?when I return from the ladies ... I would like to have my dinner ready. I would like pizza with green peppers and black olives. ...*hits Pizzas R Us on speed dial... chucks the phone toward the laughing drun, er, people...and says as an after thought...*If I'm going to be SWEETENOUGH to buy you all pizza, the least you can do is mop up that yellow puddle~!
even if it is sorta' warm an' slippery.

I don't like cleaning, people who are cleaning always look kinda mean. Could someone pass me ? I must desinfect something or the other.
