I think andromeda will be
1, Surprisingly good and basically, teh next farscape.
2, Good at teh beginning but will become directionless later, the next Earth, final conflict.
3, An amusing distraction, fun but uninvolving and with loads of eye candy for both sexes, the new Herculese (bad spelling)
BTW, isn't Kev Sorbo's character called dylan something, I'm pretty sure the name sounds familiar from one of Rodenberry's crashed pilots.

I hope Nr. 1 will apply!!
So (getting back to Blake's 7) isn't it typical. Kids got me up early on Sunday. Settled down to watch B7, and guess what? The only episode I remember from my youth (about reproduction) was the 2nd one on! And a few things struck me. This "show us how humans reproduce" is a theme which pops up (eventually) in most SF series. (presumably to get a bit of the old slap'n'tickle in). And, the creatures (sorry, paying insufficient attention to catch their name) were a sort of low-budget prototype Borg. (we can discuss the evidence, if you're not of this opinion...)

As I say, I haven't seen much Blakes seven. Hwever, protoype borg are likely. Soemone once commented that all tehy really are are modern cybermen. And for s similar rip off (and sorry if I seem to be beating Star Wars. i do like it its just episode 1 and an effects loving lucas spawn friend who's been needling me alot this week have put me in a mood) Cloud city, for efficionados of Classic Trek, Stratos, teh cloud city from teh cloud minders. I would also mention rebellion against a corrupt federation but I don't think we can credit B7 with that Idea (Plus it was released after Star Wars)

First things first blake's 7 was the best british sci-fi show ever made. The part played by paul darrow was sergeant colon. I would also like to say great writing very detailed and still intresting. I have an interview with paul darrow on http://www.h2g2.com/f35033?thread=42896 As for blake's 7 and star trek i would like to point out that star trek episode arena was close to the blake's 7 episode duel and the episode the blake's 7 terminal was close to star trek 3 the search for spock (both have the crew looking for someone the think is dead both have unstable planets both have the crew swaping ships with the bad guys and girls)

Ah, Blakes 7... Perfectly wonderful show... It was on Prime here in NZ, then it ended, supposedly so Dr Who could come back. It didn't. We're sad.

Avon - great character, not someone I ever loved though....
He'd be good to have as a friend, apart from when you're trying to leave orbit and the spacecraft is 70 kilos overweight and there's no dark matter on board....

He did have some great lines.
E.G.Lurena"What is it"*?
Avon"Unfriendly which is quite fortunate it would be difficult to love"
Avon"The fire was stupid put in villa on guard was suicidal what's wrong staying alive to difficult for you"**
and one of my all time favorites!
Dayna"Don't you ever get board of being right"
Avon"No just with the rest of you being wrong"***
*Star one

Your post has at the very least one grammatical error.
In the third sentence "I tape recorded the episode" the word you are looking for is "where or the phrase "in which" not "when"

Jsut to be really sad, the ep with the 'show us how you reproduce' bit is called 'Ultraworld', and the two snogging characters are Del Tarrant and Dayna. And yes, she is black
