If we cannot get the hotel - how about an afternoon activity followed by a pub?
Peta keeps on suggesting ice skating (because she can ice skate I suppose) but the venue she is suggesting has lots to do around it, bars, restaurants , shops etc etc
Followed by off to a pub early evening for a roister you will never forget?
Feedback please!

so basically if you don't want to ice skate you do not have too!

Ooo I haven't been skating in years! Sounds fun...
It'll be total nostalgia if they play Snap, 2Unlimited, Culture Beat (the ones who did Mr Vain) and Haddoway over the PA!
*starts humming 'I got the Power' and irritating everyone in the office*

Blimey, I haven't been ice skating....................... before. The medical bills will be astronomical.
Look! *points* Isn't that Dr Alban?

Who?
Hmm. On reflection, maybe playing 'Snap' at an ice rink was something of an evil joke by the guy who chose the music at the Link Centre in Swindon.

I really, really like the sound of that one. Ice skating! Woohoo! Just think of the write-up that will get in the POST!
I throw all my support behind ice skating, then throw some more for good measure, and some doughnuts to keep everyone well fed.

where's the meetup actually going to be again?
(there's a large ice-rink in Oxford)

and the icerink isn't far from the train station (5 minutes walk, or thereabouts).. and has a field next to it (a large field) and a car-park.

Ice skating sounds good. I'll make sure FC doesn't break anything. Sorry EV you'll ahve to find someone else to cling to.

Oh! Cambridge would be nice. I could combine the meetup with a visit home! Cool, huh?
And I know my way around...
But we don't have an ice rink, which might prove problematic.

London sounds good... easy to get to from Nottingham as well.

OK, so I'll strategically get lost and iceskate somewhere entirely different whilst speaking to you all on the phone...that way I can pretend I'm up to Olympic standard, not that I'd need to pretend of course, ahem
So when we say London are we 'in' London or slightly out of London but still technically in it...if that makes any sense to anyone other than me?
Oh and btw...
*displays Haddaway CD and grins*

You can always count on me to supply the bad music...anyone for Whigfield...Ace Of Base?

MaW Posted Oct 13, 2000
Ace of Base is good! Whigfield is getting towards the axe-wielding CD-destroying side of my personality though (oops, shouldn't have mentioned that) unless it's an aforementioned cheesy music party, in which case I expect lots of cheese to eat, and will only revert to axes if it comes 'round to S Club 7 *shudder*
In fact, Ace of Base just came on my stereo...
I'm not sure about where in London there are ice rinks. I'm sure there are several to choose from though.
