Posts aren't long, though, are they? Aren't they usually high?

*Only weakly trying to find an excuse for being late again.*

But then they're not posts - just bits of wood..... *clutching at more straws* Can't think what I'm trying to gain by this - I didn't get the answer any way. Not on time, at least.

The post isnt necessarily 8 meters long, it is simply 4 meters longer than half of its length which could very well be any number of meters.

Not true - let's assume that the pole is 10 metres long

Half of its length would be 5 metres

Add 4 metres to that, and you get 9 metres

10 metres is *not* the same as 9 metres

but if the post was 10 metres long, half it's length woul be 5 metres, and 4 metres longer than 5 metres is 9 metres not 10 metres smiley - smiley

Why not get your own face painting?

Why not join in the smiley - ale drinking non-official competition?

Why not sample one of the smiley - cakes in the Cake Competiton?

Why not indeed? Visit the Harvest Festival A810640
