Would be worth including the famous quote about Petra, "A rose red city, half as old as time" (later mangled to described Balham, in London, "A rose red city, half as Golders Green", in "Balham, Gateway to the South"). Sorry, British comedy nostalgia break there. I'll just nip off and find the origin of the original quote...

I've also seen it spelled "Burgeon", and seen the guy referred to as "Dean", which I assume is a title rather than a name. He was a Victorian poet.

I'd like to see you include something about history and culture.
Jordan is an Islamic country. Are there any restrictions on women travelling alone? Even if there are no laws as such, are there cultural expectations of proper dress and whatnot?

since the author has not been around for such a long time that sadly i feel compelled to move this to the flee market, would any of you posters like to take it upon yourself to take it under your wing?

I think we've been spoilt by the new system - it's very easy to see the Peer Review thread hanging off the older entries that have been used to produce Edited Entries. With an older entry like this, you really have to check for related entries by doing a search.
