You certainly don't seem to be short of willing volunteers.
I'm not sure exactly which personal qualities will guarantee me sub-editorship, but I would like to point out that I have a hell of a lot of free time on my hands. Oh sure, I work for a living, but tend to avoid my brain-numbing workload whenever possible. Contributing, in some small way, to the development of this fine resource will give me a reason to go on living, a reason to get up in the mornings... a reason to look at myself in the mirror and admit that maybe, just maybe, I can make it through the day. Whaddaya say?

Dear Lateral Blinking,
Awww, well since you say such nice things about the Guide, then I couldn't really say no There is a waiting list at the moment, but when I get round to doing my next round of recruitment, then I'll give you a shout. In the meantime, it would be worth you spending some time in Peer Review, so that you get to grips with what's going on in the Edited Guide and it would be good if you could fill in your Personal Space, so that Researchers can get chatting with you

I'm really pleased you've got chatting to the Community already Is there anything in particular you'd like to know about h2g2?

Nothing about H2G2 but I do have some general questions...
Where can I find a reasonably-priced beer in London?
Why is it that, no matter how many socks I buy, I can never find a matching pair?
Why won't the people at funfairs let me on the bouncy castle anymore?
Any help much appreciated.

They do reasonably-priced beer in supermarkets. Throw away all your old socks and buy 10 new pairs (with all the money you've saved buying beer in supermarkets). And the people on funfairs won't let you on the bouncy castle anymore because they're not fun people

Hmmm. Maybe there's a niche in the market for adult funfairs. We all need to let our hair down now and again, after all (even if we never tied it up in the first place). Oh yes, and when I say "adult" I don't mean... well... THAT kind of adult.
Key: Complain about this post
