Excellent entry. 1984 and Animal Farm are two of the first "important" books I read as a child that had a profound impact on the way I thought. I never knew much about Orwell and most of the scholarly disertations I've glanced at about him were dry and dull. Your entry was informative, intelligent and interesting to read. Thank you!

As another, albeit minor, contributor I will add the following.

Obviously I wouldn't want to write too much as I only did a little bit of the article (the bit about 1984) so it wouldn't be fair of me to ham up my part and include a really long acknowledgment of your thanks when it's only a little bit of that thanks that was going to me in the first place. I believe in meritocracy (you get what you deserve) so I really don't think I should say too much at this point.
