I jsut quickly read through this Entry A297083 and am slightly puzzled because it mentions Emmental and Raclette in the section about French cheese, but both are from Swizzerland. smiley - huh

Yes, I thought so. smiley - erm
Maybe we could find two cheeses which really are from France and replace them? Because if you just delete them the list is a bit short I think...

Maybe we could ask StunningFrenchie or ToyBox to suggest their favourites?

Yes, I also just thought we should ask some French Researchers. smiley - smiley
Brie seems obvious, yes, but who knows what kinds of interesting French cheeses there are that we have never heard of?

Gnomon - time to move on

Although Emmental and Raclette are primarily Swiss cheeses, the names are not exclusive to that country and Emmental a popular type of cheese made in France as well, in the Alpine regions. I see Raclette listed as a type of French cheese on Wikipedia, but I haven't encountered it.

Best to get someone French to give their opinion.
