most people from the central part of jeresy, when trying to explain to you where they live, will just tell you what turnpike exit they live off of.

That's only because the Turnpike is the best way to get out of central Jersey. I mean where do you want to visit - Atlantic City, Vineland, New brunswick or is there somethng in Jersey I missed?

I'll have to go with Heidi on this one.
The Jersey Shore is nothing like the Gulf.
Like Heide said, no crystal white beaches. No clear water.
(The water is only cloudy because of the constant waves and the Gulf Stream.)
The communities are what make it great. Each place has it's own character. There are party towns right next to dry(alchohol free, not water free) towns. And there are some that are somewhere inbetween. Some islands are high priced, and some are very reasonable.
It is a good place over all.
(but if you go to PennState, Main Campus is VERY far from an ocean).

Anyway out of Jersey is the best way!
That is why on all of the Philly area birdges, it is free to get in, but will cost you two dollars t o get out.
We are trying to controle the migration out of Jersey!

Heh. Have you ever heard anyone refer to Camden as "East Philly"?

i've heard that a lot, actually. there is no east philly because its on the other side of the river. people always say that when they are jersey bashing. but i have recently learned that there are a lot of people with jersey pride. my roommate has jersey pride. she's mad cool though, so around my place, i have to try to keep the jersey bashing to a minimum.
