Am I live, or am I Memorex:
All,
I really don't have that much to say right now.
I suspect that this page, much like life, will be a work in progress.
At this point I guess that it is customary to give some background info:
I primarily live in a suburb of Philadelphia in the US. I say primarily because I never really know when my company is gonna ship me someplace else.
I am a child of the 80's, so that means that I was born in the 70's. I'll leave it to you all to guess when. I earned money for most of my life playing with children. I was a Day Camp counselor/director for many years. During college I successfully spun that experience off into a job working on a Cruise Ship in Florida that cruised around the Bahamas.
My degree from college is a BS in Physics. The most unusual part about this is that I paid my through school on moderately large performing arts scholarship, supplemented by a smaller academic scholarship, working on campus, and prostituting my acting in some dinner theater.
A big turn for me came when I made the realization halfway through my senior year, that I don't like most physicists. (no offense to any physicists reading this). Being a physicist in training, that was a source of great concern. So I coned my way into a job programming for a defense contractor. I have worked for that contractor ever since waiting for them to figure out that I have no idea what I am doing.
Apparently at one point they not only decided that I could do my job, but they thought that I needed a handicap. My company sent me to New Orleans for a year, to help bail out a project heading south down there. I spent that year working 80 hrs a week, and quickly pickling my liver in the spare time that I had (for those that are not familiar with New Orleans culture, it may be the formost party town in the United States). Basically it was a blast. I'd be more then happy to talk at length about New Orleans. As a matter of fact it may be my first Guide entry.
Since they sadly brought me home, I have gone back to school, trying to get a Masters of Info Science, and an MBA.
Here is the important details that you should know about me.
1) I can't spell. This becomes very important when I start to type big words that I am used to saying.
2) To my own mind, I am a comic genius. Let me have my delusions. ;-)
3) My wit tends towards the facetious, bordering on sarcastic. I promise to try and keep the sarcasm to a minimum.
4) I log in from work, so if I don't respond to a post right away, it is nothing personal.
So if you have read this and wish to talk, you know what to do.
I am sure this info will change eventualy, so check back.
