A change of voice? From a stroke? Might be, odder claims have been made, most recent one was turning from hetero to homo, I think... or maybe it wasn't a stroke, not sure...

I think one of my favourite quotes from one the TED talks is Ramashandran talking about 'that looks like my mother, but it's an impostor!' and how Freudians like to explain it with the Oidipus complex - except one of his patients said that about his pet poodle, and he then challenges anyone to come up with a Freudian theory for *that!
