'Safe' rather than 'harmless'?

Post 1

Titania (gone for lunch)

I've been pretty peeved for many, many years about how people seem to consider me as 'harmless' but lately I've been thinking that maybe it's rather about looking 'safe' rather than 'harmless'?

See, infants trust me, and they're hardly likely to know what 'harmless' is, right? But I bet they know what 'safe' is.

About being the go-to person at w*rk, the persons (pretty much everyone, sooner or later) know I won't ever ridicule them for asking what might seem like rather stupid questions (and sometimes they are!) so they feel safe asking *me*.

Damn, it slippped away - the very thought that triggered this posting! Where did you go, little bugger?

*breathes out*

Nope - maybe I'll remember it tomorrow
