i just got me a new screen which is able to handle a much higher resolution (1920 x 1200 to be exact) than my old ones

but then it struck me. what if i could set it even higher?

Well, since I still haven't received any reply to my LOTRO support mail (6 days and counting) I decided to go back to playing Aion.

And I'm most impressed by the Aion support. Here's a recent example of what happened when I reported an annoying little ingame message I got each time I logged on. I reported it earlier today, on a Saturday, so not exactly during office hours.

12.36: I report the message
12.36: Automatic reply confirming that they have received my mail but informing me that they are 'currently experiencing a high ticket volume'
17.53: Response from a support person to let me know he's 'escalating your petition to a Senior Customer Support Representative'. His name is by the way, cool, huh?
18.17: Response from senior support person asking me a question. If reply is no, 'then we can deal with the issue swiftly'.

Well, the question contained the solution so that I could fix it myself (it was actually perfectly correct information that I had failed to find an explanation for in the manuals or FAQs). Informed senior support person and thanked them for being so efficient.

*feeling smug*

When asking what would be the best way to report gold sellers, I was once again remitted to a 'Senior Customer Report Representative'. Oh my...

...who, in his/her (the name left me no clue) reply mentioned 'Thanks for your interest in helping us fight this obnoxious infestation.'

I wonder if I could get promoted to Smasher of Gold Sellers?

I really long to get out my biggest, most mean-looking weapon and just smash them to bits. The little monsters are using smilies in their spamming messages - smilies that will even penetrate walls, which makes it very difficult to avoid seeing at least part of their message whenever you visit one of the major cities.

Heh, I think I must have been through most of the GMs in Aion by now (mostly because I absolutely loathe gold sellers, even though it seems to have gotten better lately) - either that, or they're using a random name generator for signing their support e-mail replies
