I actually like Finland's contribution this year - watched it early on as the producer of their video put it up on youtube:

That Norwegian guy is kind of cute, but oh so young...
But is it just me, or isn't there an unusually large amount of contributions consisting of utter rubbish?

I don't give a toss about Sweden's contribution this year however - a mezzosoprano singing opera?
Heck, even Loa Falkman had a catchier tune way back with his 'Symphony'!

I thought the Eurovision Song Contest was required to be mostly rubbish.

I am seriously unimpressed with Jade's "It's my time" - written by Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber!
Haven't seen any others, I prefer to be entertained on the night. Will you all be joining the annual "Ask" thread? It's just like the old Angel inaugurations, T

I had to watch the semifinals, of course. Since those were invented, we never made it any further. Well, except this year.

i watched the whole ordeal with my cynical daughter (she learned from the best )
we were pleased to see denmark landing on the mediocrest of placings. that's right up our alley
our non-favourites were the two - er - interesting girls from - was it armenia
the contest is about to sell the most utter rubbish disguised as something by making sinister deals with your neighbours - i think norway succeeded very well. bringing in a former east european really created the confusion needed
i was very lucky to see the highlights of man united winning the championship while most of the voting took place
needless to say i slept very well after that. the next day i left my flat in battersea to go visit my eldest son in paris. my daughter went home. and neither of us were disappointed in any way
