...of which I think they might have done both. They've got just the right mix of full symphony orchestra and choir that I love...

They're very generous allowing you to listen to several of their pieces... *leans back and just listens*

If you don't like the first piece of music, clidk the >> button - the various pieces of music are quite different... I spent most of today listening to that loop of musical pieces over and over again at w*rk.

Ti!
Thanks for this recommendation. It ~will~ be my next music purchase. I've got it rolling along through my consciousness as I study for my new job in Instruments & Controls at the nuclear power plant. (I finally got the job for which I've waited eight years.)

Okay...so...I couldn't wait, after checking out their official website. I swung by CDBaby (a clearinghouse I've grown very fond of) and purchased "Cartographer" and "Unearthed", plus a CD for my wife for the Pilates classes she teaches: "Healing Garden" by Daveed. Just over forty-five bucks for the MP3 downloads. Now I've got them for the computer, PDA phone, and can make back-up CD copies for the entertainment system.
Thank you sooo much for the recommendation, Titania.
Bless!

During our Refuel Outages at the nuclear power plant, we work 12-hour days, six days a week. We get paid overtime...every day. It was...um...'disposable income', so I used it for something really nice. Thank you for pointing me to the link. I didn't even know this band existed until this moment. Great stuff. It can serve as a background, as you mentioned, or you can listen intently to the interweaving of harmonies and percussions to pick up on the detail of each song. I downloaded the whole shebang onto the hard drive, and I'll make CD back-up copies in a few days when I have my 'day off'. Until then, I'll be listening and enjoying, between job assignments.

The Within Temptation lead me on to this concert - which I would have loved to have attended. Orchester, choire, enthusiastic spectators...

Which, in turn, lead me to Tarja Turunen:

...which was a bit odd, but the girl knows how to sing:

Oh, and obviously she used (or still does?) to sing with the Nightwish band:

Watched the film Vantage Point last night and got curious about the music. One thing led to another (as it usually does on youtube) and, besides discovering Icelandic movie music maker Atli Örvarsson I also came across Immediate Music:
