Well, I guess one step in the 'right' direction was getting involved and active in World of Warcraft again.

And what was one of the things I did after one week of playing? Yep, creating a guild!

So what is this strange malady I'm suffering from - the need to stay in control, the need to give people advise on how to play (or live their lives, for that matter)?

And how do I tell myself to *back down*?

Ever considered becoming a school teacher? That should cure it.

I'm really practicing hard at backing off... I have attended two parent - teacher meetings withouth committing to more than sending out a file from last year! But it's tough, I had to sit on my hands not to volunteer.

Well, that and the fact that I never can get the hang of connecting to people within the game, even with friends I know *outside* it, and I get bored the minute it starts taking longer to grind than it does to do the actual missions and whatnot ... and the missions start to look like grinding except with a specific type of monster ...
