Yes, yes, I know several people have heard me complain about this in the past, but this beats all, I think...
I needed to pay out some money pronto and asked my boss to do it.
So she showed me where she keeps her logon details to the Corporate Net Bank (written down on a PostIt *rolls eyes*), and also where and how to find the code required to make a payment.
What's the matter with people? Oh, Titania - she's so harmless - she'd never be even tempted to pay out a few million Swedish Kronor to herself!
And to think that people started blindly trusting me when I was just 15 years old...
It would be interesting to find a scientific explanation to why people find me to be irresistably trustworthy - is it written on my forehead in flaming letters that everyone else can se except myself?

So ... are you saying you *aren't* trustworthy? (Or merely that you think he's a moron who deserves to have every penny stolen if he's willing to share that kind of information, no matter with whom, like I do? )

Is it that people think that you are harmless, or that people are inherently stupid and in need of repeated training sessions with my trainer Brutus and his trusty 9-iron?

If she has been your boss for quite some time then she may (think she) has/have reason to trust you.
Then again, the corporate account! Would you like to share the information?
My account, on the other hand, wouldn't be worth while diving into - unless you are fond of pot holing.

i believe the fact that you wrote posting #1 proves that you are indeed very trustworthy
if i show you my nigerian bank account, will you show me yours?

Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Jun 11, 2008
Well, myself, I'd never share some details with anyone, no matter how much I trusted them. Like login details to my bank account, the code for my ATM card and so on... they only exist in my head, and it'll always stay that way.

Good point Pierce, because you can never tell.
Many years ago it was discovered that one of my colleagues had been embezzling money - and it was a person who had always appeared as trustworthy. A person more than 20 years older, who I had always been gettting along with nicely.
That taught me that dishonest people look like ordinary people, and seemingly behave like ordinary people.

The major problem you've got with this is not whether your boss trusts you or not - it's the fact that they've now dropped you right in the s**t if any money happens to go astray at any time in the future.
Your boss might trust you, but the police wouldn't take that attitude and your boss has just added you to the initial list of police suspects if there's a problem in the future...
Say thanks to her

Yep. That's what I was just thinking. Also what a good set up that would be for someone who is an embezzeler. Deliberately give account access to one or two people to divert suspicion from yourself when you dip into the funds.
As to looking trustworthy...well, you are trustworthy. Aside from the known customs violations.

Good thing I don't look or act like ordinary people, then!

Perhaps you could ask your boss to amend the PIN, Titania. That way, you're protected.
BTW - I'd trust you

I think you should tell your boss that you are concerned about this, and ask that the passwords be changed. You do want to cover yourself.

hi Titania just lurking thru.make sure that they are changed as for all you know your boss could be playing a confidence trick on you,be safe.they are being paid more for the added responsobility,it's no good then delegating that responsobility to someone else.they are in charge of the coporate purse and shouldn't have a way to sidestep when things go wrong

remembers me of the knight who went on a crusade. right before he left his castle he gave the key to his wifes chastity belt to his most trusted servant for safekeeping. "just in case i don't return alive", he said
off he went, but he had only been riding for a few minutes when his servant caught up with him and yelled "sire, sire, ye gave me the wrong key..."
