Titania (gone for lunch)

One of my strengths

*ponders*

Yes, I'd say it is...

Why this reflection?

Well, after getting up at 6 am (after having been woken up 3 times between 5 and 6 by my crazy updoor neighbour - I'm soooo not a morning person!) desperately trying to remember to bring everything I need for a rather busy day...

...while walking with my umbrella in another grey and rainy morning from the railway station to my w*rk...

...I found myself happily humming 'This is the world we live in' and feeling content with who/what I am, with my life in general.

Some people always seem to be striving for something better, for the greener grass on the other side, and never stop to take storage of what they already *have* achieved, never 'relish in the moment'...

Well, obviously I'm not one of them!smiley - smiley

So many people miss that living in the moment thing completely and feel depressed and stressed because they don't take time to appreciate all the good things they have.

Now that the sons are adult, I'm trying to get them to recognise a good period in their lives. It is a useful thing to do, otherwise you only recognise the difficulty times and appreciate the good ones when it's too late.

I fail too often with it all. I guess I live too much in/with the past.

Ti, that is a wonderful quality to have. This week's Time magazine has a cover story about living to be 100. One of the traits of long-lived individuals is optimism. Another is being able to let things go and not get caught up in problems.

It sounds like you're going to live to be at least 110. smiley - biggrin

110? Oh goodie - that'd mean I won't be middle aged until the age of 55!

Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor

I fail this too often as well.
I live in the present with someone who is toxic to my health and well-being, and my love-life is all in the past.

I don't like to be alone, and I'm always stressed.

Good job I have good friends, and there's such a thing as school.smiley - smiley
