...Maya-HAA! Maya-HA-HA!!
I've lately been listening to a collection of summer hits from the 80ies up to date, and my mind is persistently playing one of them in my head this morning...
Isn't it amazing how a song can become a hit when practically no one understands one word of the lyrics?

Makes me feel !
I think the band is called Haiducii. The language? Eh... hm... Romanian?
*dances off to google a little*

It *is* Romanian! I thought I recognized some words from the days when I used to dance international (Balkan and Eastern Europe, mostly) folk dances
Official site for Haiducii is:
http://www.haiducii.net
I hadn't seen the singer before - that's one hot !

I couldn't get the site to open for me. I can honestly say that I have never had Romanian folk songs stuck in my head.

Oh, Hauducii isn't folk music, it's pop!
Unfortunately most of the information on her site is in Italian, but I think it said that she became Miss Romania one year...
*double checks the link*
Works for me...
