A long awaited moment finally occurred yesterday afternoon - the company 'health profile'.
See, I was really curious about what effect all this consumption of the fattest milk available, full fat cheeses (more of it, more often), loads of eggs, bacon, cream etc. would have had at my cholesterol level.
1½ year ago, my total cholesterol level was 5.06
This year, it was...
...4.88!
The good had gone up, the bad down (HDL/LDL - I always get them mixed up).
I've got to admit though, that I haven't only cosumed more saturated fat - I've also cut down to almost nothing of bread, potatoes, pasta, rice and such.
And, in order to fill my plate, I've had to add more vegetables.
So, from a personal point of view, as long as your body has no problem handling satured fat, it won't do you any harm at all. Just like the book said *points at subject line*

Hair growth.
Yet another unexpected effect from the saturated fat.
The hair on my head grows like crazy - and I'm not just talking length here, but loads of new hairs. I use copious amounts of hairspray trying to flatten down the short hairs along my hairline above forehead (because they're still too short to lie down, they just stand right up), the 'whiskers' in front of my ears and the ones along my neckline (just noticed those when I twisted my hair and fastened with a clasp).
Crazy...
