So, that was one heck of an adventure! I drove to Salford and back. I lost track of the mileage there but the mileage back was 116 from Mezz's door to mine. For someone used to driving round her own town without even thinking, that was a bit of a culture shock. Good job Laura praised my driving confidence on the way there, though. She will probably keep Mum about how I ended up turning into a no-entry one-way on the outskirts of Manchester on the way to Snake Pass. My car is a fabulous beast but the satnav can be a bitch. Faced with two stationary cars, both wanting to drive through my car, she put my hazards on and told me to reverse. Keep calm and carry on driving. And breathe. I just hope there was no cctv/dashcam footage. But, I've been initiated into a game called "Cards Against Humanity" and learned a few new words and phrases and I've seen dinosaurs now and Michaela Strachan in the flesh, so to speak, and we got home in one piece. Onwards and upwards and here's to more new adventures!
