(half my family have travelled to London for the match)
Andy Murray has won the Italian Open, http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/36297221
and Tom Daley won the gold medal in the men's 10m platform dive, http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/diving/36298113

Wow! That is an impressive day in sport. Well done in particular to Grimsby Town - I bet that match was great to watch

I didn't see any of it, I spent my Sunday on the laptop refreshing the relevant BBC sport pages. However, my younger brother, my #1 daughter, my #1 son and his two -mad sons all travelled to Wembley (with my first husband, their Dad) so I am over the moon for them
I would have loved to have seen birthday boy Andy Murray beat Djokovic but it was on a premium channel which I can't afford.

I'm glad Grimsby made it
It wasn't a good football year for my teams. Pompey lost to Plymouth in the play-off yesterday, and Havant & Waterlooville got relegated. Oh well, next year they'll be playing lots of interesting teams I've never seen before, including the Metropolitan Police.

Exciting times indeed. Ian has told me today that Grimsby are back at Wembley on Sunday in some cup final? He's backed them to do the double.

Halifax and Grimsby will contest the FA Trophy final at Wembley on Sunday, 22 May. Only one day after the FA Cup final between Crystal Palace and Manchester United

While I'm at it let me remind you of the Europa League final tomorrow, the German cup final saturday night and the Champions League final on 28 May
After that there will be a terrible drought
until the European Cup tournament starts 10 June
So thank Bob for Wimbledon, le Tour and... and... and...
