I'm home with Goldie now smiley - smiley

Mum's house and mine (both in Cleethorpes) escaped any flooding, thank goodness. I'm dog tired due to 2 disturbed nights, Goldie didn't settle and Mum's central heating is very noisy smiley - sadface I can't sleep unless there's silence, I swear I could hear a smiley - mouse wearing kid slippers skipping across a shag pile carpet.

Goldie is glad to be home and so am Ismiley - puff

I hope my friends in Hull fared ok. I'm waiting to hear back from my cousin in Whitby, who has a shop just off the harbour (which flooded) and they live above it.smiley - grovel

Thanks for all your thoughts, Scorp, a local woman was injured last night when she leaned on the promenade rail which was no longer there, and fell several feet onto the beach. That's the only injury I've heard of.

It sounded a daft accident but I can understand how it happened.
It actually sounded like something I would do myself. I have lost count of how many times I've leaned on those rails, and I did it just last month balancing my binoculars on them. Before I do it again though, I'll check that they're there, as I wouldn't want that drop onto the beach, particularly head first at high tide at night!smiley - yikes

Glad you and your Mum are safe. Been looking at the pictures and newsreels and feel desperately sorry for everyone. |The aftermath won't be over for ages, if ever for some people.
