If you'd told me this time last year that within a few months I'd be single and living alone (apart from Goldie) I'd have been horrified.
However, I'm happy and comfortable with things as they are, so, bring on 2013!
Happy new year to one and all, may each day be good to you.

Speaking as one who went from a relationship to being single, I can say
it takes a bit of time but one gets comfortable with it and value the freedom.
Fate can be a strange thing, and who knows what might come out of the blue.
A happy new year on this dry sunny day, fingers crossed it's an omen of
oncoming weather.

Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~ Posted Jan 1, 2013
Living alone since 1998 has made me odd, queer and peculiar - but my kids still love me and I have lots of ffriends both near and far, so it doesn't worry me and I enjoy my kind of life
Have a nice 2013

t is amazing what a difference a year can make. A very Happy New Year to you from another 'singleton' (though I still feel married!). I find I am learning a great deal about myself, not all good but I am getting there.
I too have a wonderful family and friends and treasure them more than ever. I find joy in little things but I admit to looking forward to lighter nights - the hibernation gene is getting a bit boring
Wishing you Good health, prosperity and happy days,
Websailor
