I don't believe that for a second.
But then I read the local paper which has interviews with his family and friends everyday. So maybe I have read different stuff on him to you.

...well I still haven't received an email informing me of why it's been removed.

It's a very sensitive topic indeed. I can see why BBC doesn't want it to be discussed this way even though I respect everyone's right to have an opinion.

GB its still in the moderation process, you won't get an email until a decision has been made to remove it permanently. They never send out emails just because someone has yikes something.
Although I do believe we all have the right to our own opinion this is an extremely sensitive subject. Imagine what one of the relatives would feel if they found this posting? Effectively it would mean the bbc condones the idea of his commiting suicide, which no family should have to deal with.
Imagine if it was one of your family, how would you deal with finding strangers discussing the manner of their death?
Also there are protest marches in Stockwell and believe me, no-one there believes this was suicide. Everyone believes he was a victim of police over-reacting in a brutal and unnecessary manner.
I know you are a good person, but remember people who know him could be here, people who know he would never commit suicide and find the idea distressing and offensive. You do have the right to your opinion, but I believe his family and friends have rights as well. Just as you would if it happened to someone you know.

I'm not really here Posted Jul 28, 2005
That post has been failed permananently - you can tell by the wording. Maybe the email got lost in the 'post' GB? It's an automated process so it's not as if someone could forget to do it.
Sorry I missed it though.

It's been removed because of the ongoing police investigation, h2g2 feedback wrote me a nice email last night.
Strange how this topic is being discussed on two other threads on h2g2 though, which haven't been failed, yet my journal entry got yikesed.
I'm starting to feel paranoid.

Don't take it personally GB. I think they are just being extra careful, and these are difficult times.
Personally I think the media in general is creating a "feeding frenzy" with constant re-issuing of regurgitated information, and "opinions". I would prefer them to report each development, as and when, and cut down on the speculation.
It is frightening people, and inflaming resentment against people who are for the most part innocent. July /August has been a difficult time in this country for some years and I don't think the constant tittle tattle is helpful.
I would always champion free speech, unless it is incitement, but I think there are times when we should all keep schtum (spelling!?)
I didn't catch your original post, but gathered the gist, and I don't think any of us can see inside the minds of others with any certainty, not even those near and dear to us.

"As often I think both parties in the removing of the posting are right. There was a bit of speculation, but as I see it also a bit of concideration, how would a policeman now?
I strongly agree with the demonstrations against un-uniformed police officers in physical action.
But I also think those officers have a very hard time, keeping themself in the right balance .
Not to think of how they 'would'/'have to'/'should' know what a suspect is thinking."

I agree with you. Seeing photos of them out of uniform made me cringe. In this day and age how are you supposed to know who they are?
I am sure their job is awful, and I wonder how they live with the acrimony afterwards. No amount of target practise and training can prepare anyone for the real thing, and fear and adrenaline can play havoc with the senses. There are so many victims in this sorry mess.

It seems his visa had expired, and he'd doctored it or had it doctored.
No wonder he ran, guilty conscience.

Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Jul 29, 2005
Of course not - but at least it's clearer now, why he ran.

He did not run, he did not vault the ticket barrier - he used his ticket, he was not wearing a heavy jacket - just a denim one in 17 centigrade, he was not warned, they did not shout police
Its all here and it is sickening

He was of foreign appearance and lived in a block of flats they were investigating, he didn't even have a rucksack.
I am not of foreign appearance, I do live in a block of flats - who knows who else lives here, and I do carry a rucksack.
If I run the last few feet to catch a train, then will everyone say 'she ran, she must be guilty of something?' Thats if I have the misfortune to be in the same place as a trigger-happy, jumpy policeman with a gun.
Not going on at you GB, but just wanted to finish the convo with some facts about what happened.
