Last night we had our first interview with the Vicar.
We arrived at No.42, and the leaflet he passed me was entitled "Don't Panic".
I asked if he was a Douglas Adams fan, and his face lit up as he chatted away about the "best radio show he'd ever heard"
...when all the "business" was over, I left him a happy man, with the web address of Douglas' U42 page, for him to browse at his leisure.
So, let's hope we'll soon be welcoming the good Reverend as a Researcher.

Are you sure you're not thinking of eloping with the vicar?

Heartfelt congratulations on your impending wedding, Galaxy Babe!!
I hide out in the shadows for a few months, and what do you do? ... Find yourself a fiance'. I always knew you were an amazing woman. You'll have to tell me your secret.

"...And do you take this hoopy lifeform to be your lawful wedded..."
I wish I could invite you all
Elope with the Vicar?
No secret, AW
Just lucky, I guess.
Your turn will come.
Come over for a meet-up and I will introduce you to Ormy.

How did you know that I was middle-aged, free and single, AGB?
Yeah, come to a meet-up, AW! I'll definitely be at the next Northern one because I'm organising it!
(See A1093187 for details. )

strikes again
I'm getting so excited.
Our wedding rings arrived today.
The reception is booked, the Church is booked, the Vicar {whom, if you don't read my journal, is a Douglas Adams fan} my dress is fabulous I just need some shoes. They must be flatties or a very small heel, as James is 5'8" and I don't want to be taller than him on the wedding pics.
My Mum is buying my bouquet and my daughter is making me a headdress.
Must get round to baking the this week, then I can ice it the week before.

Wow, this is so wonderful!
I hope it all goes wonderfully well!
Mina passed on the invitation, but unfortunately we really can't come, we've already accepted another wedding invitation for that weekend, otherwise we'd be there too! Very best wishes!

Thank you for the kind invitation to the meet, Ormy and AGB ... I would love to attend.
Unfortunately, I live in Ohio, so a trip to the UK isn't likely until I've made my fortune. Perhaps I'll accomplish that sooner rather than later ... we shall see.
I'm glad to hear that all your wedding plans are flowing smoothly, AGB. I'm extremely happy for you!!

When I saw the thread title, I tried, (and failed), to visualise a 'DNA electric fan'.. probably because we are currently experiencing an historic heat wave here!
Your vicar sounds very ...
BTW, you *could* wear high heels... if'n y'all opted for a 'Western' theme...
Or you could both be barefoot hippies, man!
Or..
Ok, I'll shut up now..
I'd like to take this opportunity to remind those who feel compelled to toss rice to please not cook it first...
May it be a truly splendiferous occasion!
