I had a Yorkshire rose on my left upper arm for my 30th birthday.

For my 40th I got a Sheffield Wednesday owl on my right shoulder blade.

For Gruesome #1's 17th birthday she's having a tattoo. She had designed one but the woman in the shop talked her out of the design (an infinity sign with her sister's birthdate in it - apparently that's the "arse antler" of today and everyone has it) and the location - inside left lower arm - in case it causes problems in later life.

So she's getting her sister's birth sign on her left shoulder blade

I'm a little about her getting a tattoo but I'm glad she listened to the woman in the shop who said exactly what I'd said.

So her appointment is 3rd December.

My appointment is 9th December and I'll be getting my birthsign on my left shoulder blade.

At least it won't change. Better than a teenage first love, and second, and third…

Did you know the sun wasn't in your birthsign when you were born. Because of the birthsigns have been wrong for about 1,000 years.

well, I'm not really bothered about where the sun or stars were or werent - I only like my birthsign because I think centaurs and archery are cool. I suspect that if I were Libra or Capricorn I'd have found another motif for my new tattoo

I like fish, but if I ever had a tattoo it would be my Chinese horoscope sign. Dragons are way cooler than fish!

Hubby's a Chinese rat. According to Chinese horoscopes our signs are a perfect match. I'm not a believer in horoscopes, but we have been together for 25 years (married for 23), so maybe there's something in it.

I'm a duck - in sweet & sour sauce...

No tattoos for me...
