No Maintenance, useable, clean lines and any colour you like all year round
Gardening is the root of all evil. it wastes weekends, chews up bank hoidays and causes money to disappear at a rate of knots.

Depends on what you try to grow. The last thing I want to do with my weekend is exactly what I've spent all week doing; so I got rid of the lawn, and direct sowed a wild-flower 'meadow' around a sunken area that gives me some privacy from the neighbours. I weed it once or twice a summer, when it gets a bit too wild; but otherwise it's a no-fuss garden.
If flags are what you love, sow some common thyme between them... your nose will love you for it.
